About Huck Edge
01
What we do
Huck Edge builds statistical models for MLB, NFL, College Football, NBA, and College Basketball, then compares what those models think against what sportsbooks are actually pricing right now. When the two disagree, that gap — the "edge" — is what we surface: moneyline, spread, and total leans, ranked by how confident the model is and how much data actually backs the number.
02
How we think about it
Every sport's model is built from real, publicly available team and player data — not gut feel, not copy-pasted consensus picks. Each model weighs a different mix of factors depending on what actually moves outcomes in that sport, adjusts for things like recency and strength of opponent, and is honest with itself when the underlying data is thin: confidence goes down, not up, when information is missing. We don't publish the exact internal weighting or scoring methodology — that's the part that makes the model worth using in the first place — but every subscriber can see the factor categories and data sources behind each model in the Algorithm Lab.
03
Why it's built differently
Most "picks" services sell confidence, not accountability. We track every pick the model makes, automatically grade it once the game is final, and show the real record — wins, losses, and everything in between — on the public track record page. No model wins every time, and we say so directly rather than dress it up.
